Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our ICU team at Meitra Hospital in Calicut.
The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, adhering
to protocols, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients in the intensive care unit
Desired Qualification:
GNM/B.Sc. Nursing
Key Responsibilities:
→ Execute special assignments promptly and accurately.
→ Ensure complete patient care within the assigned area.
→ Conduct swift and thorough patient assessments upon admission or at the start
of shifts, documenting findings accordingly.
→ Hand over patients and tasks to the next shift accurately.
→ Administer nursing care as per established protocols, including vital sign
monitoring, IV administration, medication administration, blood transfusions,
ECG recording, and maintaining personal hygiene.
→ Maintain awareness of infection risks and adhere to infection control protocols.
→ Foster continuity of care through effective verbal and written communication.
→ Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and family matters.
→ Report patient conditions promptly to relevant personnel.
→ Implement emergency life-saving measures according to BLS & ACLS protocols.
→ Document care provided clearly and concisely in compliance with protocols.
→ Educate patients and families, documenting the same.
→ Actively participate in unit-based and organizational quality improvement
initiatives.
→ Ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
→ Safely and efficiently use equipment and maintain inventory of unit supplies.
→ Accurately input data into the Hospital Information System.
→ Uphold nursing ethics and serve as a role model for colleagues.
→ Facilitate smooth patient discharge according to protocols and medical advice.
→ Demonstrate flexibility in meeting staffing needs.
→ Perform any other duties deemed appropriate for the role
