About the job:
We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our
engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will drive the design, development, and
implementation of our software solutions. Ideal for a seasoned engineer passionate about
scalability, high-performance systems, and tackling complex challenges, this position
offers the opportunity to shape our technology stack and mentor junior engineers.
Job Responsibilities:
→ Design and Develop: Lead architecture and software development, influencing our
technical direction strategically.
→ Collaborate and Communicate: Align technology development with business
objectives, effectively conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
→ Code Review and Quality Assurance: Ensure product efficiency and maintainability
through rigorous code reviews and advocacy for best coding practices.
→ Mentorship: Guide and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence
and professional growth.
→ Stay Ahead of the Curve: Research emerging technologies, identifying
opportunities to enhance projects and processes.
→ Problem-Solving: Address complex technical challenges with innovative solutions,
anticipating potential issues for smooth project execution.
What You Bring to The Role:
Minimum Requirements:
→ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
→ At least 5 years of software development experience, strong in Ruby on Rails or
Elixir.
→ Proven experience in developing, scaling, and maintaining distributed systems.
→ Solid understanding of software engineering principles, architectural design, and
agile methodologies.
→ Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, capable of independently
addressing complex issues.
→ Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and
concisely.
Preferred Requirements:
→ Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.
→ Familiarity with AWS, ML teams, and e-commerce pricing.
→ Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.
