About the Role:
🛡 As a Strategic Analytics Associate in the Digital Fraud Strategy team, you will own end‑to‑end fraud loss management for digital payments (Zelle, bill pay, wires, ACH, funds transfers, real‑time payments).You will use machine learning models, vendor and in‑house data, and advanced analytics to design fraud rules and strategies that reduce losses, optimize alert efficiency, and improve customer experience by reducing friction and complaints.


Key Responsibilities:

  • 📊 Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends and behaviors in digital fraud, developing creative, data‑driven strategies and business rules to reduce fraud losses.
  • 🧠 Use SAS/SQL and other analytical programming tools to build and monitor risk rules, experiments, and performance metrics.
  • 💬 Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise stories and recommendations for senior leadership through presentations and storytelling.
  • 🤝 Partner with cross‑functional teams (risk, technology, operations, product) to design and implement new fraud‑fighting products and process improvements using agile methods.
  • 🚨 Respond to emerging fraud issues, work on diverse tasks, and continually refine strategies to balance loss prevention, alert cost, and customer experience.

Requirements:

  • 📈 At least 2 years of professional experience, ideally in risk management, strategic analytics, or data science.
  • 🧮 Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets and understand operational and financial impact.
  • 💻 Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SAS, R, and SQL; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • 🧪 Demonstrated experience in data analysis, designing and analyzing experiments, and simplifying/communicating complex topics.
  • 💹 Solid P&L knowledge and understanding of profitability drivers, with the ability to develop practical, common‑sense solutions to complex business challenges.
