About the Role:

As a Team Member (DM / Manager) for Payable Accounting at Maruti Suzuki India Limited,
you will play a key role in the Order to Cash (O2C) process by ensuring efficient payable
accounting operations. You will be responsible for processing and reviewing invoice
payments through the Accounts Payable (AP) module of ERP/SAP, ensuring compliance
with GST, TDS, MSME, and other statutory requirements. This role involves managing
foreign payment processing, handling monthly and quarterly AP closing activities, and
supporting process improvement initiatives across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

→ Accounts Payable Processing:
o Review and process invoice payments through the AP module of ERP/SAP
systems.
o Ensure that payment documents received from business users are complete
and comply with internal control standards and statutory requirements.
→ Compliance & Documentation:
o Verify compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations (e.g.,
MSME) before processing payments.
o Manage documentation for foreign payments such as ocean freight.
→ Financial Closing Activities:
o Execute monthly and quarterly AP closing activities, including the
preparation of required schedules.
o Facilitate statutory and internal audits for all assigned work areas.
→ Process Improvement:
o Contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at
improving process efficiency.
→ Stakeholder Management:
o Collaborate with internal teams and vendors, ensuring smooth operations
and timely resolution of any issues that arise.
Requirements:
→ Professional Qualifications:
o Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Work Accountant (CWA)
with 3 to 7 years of relevant experience; or
o Semi-Qualified CA/CWA with 12 to 15 years of experience.
→ Technical Skills:
o Solid understanding of payables accounting principles, accounting
standards, and taxation laws, including GST and income tax.
o Hands-on experience with the AP module in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP).
o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems, with a focus
on automation and digitalization.

o Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
o Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced
environment.
o Effective communication skills and ability to manage vendor and
stakeholder relationships.
