About the Role:

As a Principal Architect on the Google Cloud Geo Enterprise team, you’ll act as the
technical subject‑matter expert for geospatial solutions.
Partnering with Sales, Engineering, and Product teams, you’ll design and validate cloud
architectures that leverage Google’s mapping, location, and geospatial APIs to solve
large‑scale customer challenges in industries like smart cities, logistics, and IoT.

Key Responsibilities:

→ Solution Architecture: Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to define,
prototype, and deliver scalable Geo Enterprise solutions on Google Cloud.
→ Proofs of Concept: Lead trials and POCs—gather requirements, set success
criteria, integrate APIs, and guide best practices.
→ Customer Engagement: Build trusted advisor relationships with enterprise
architects, CTOs, and engineering leaders to understand priorities, address
technical objections, and deliver value.
→ Technical Enablement: Conduct technical workshops, reviews, and
troubleshooting sessions; file product feedback and feature requests.
→ Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Marketing and
Engineering to stay ahead of industry trends and influence product roadmaps.
→ Travel & Events: Represent Google Cloud at customer sites, conferences, and
industry events (up to 50% travel).

Minimum Qualifications:

→ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering,
Mathematics, or related field.
→ 10+ years of experience in cloud‑native architecture in customer‑facing,
consulting, or support roles.
→ Hands‑on expertise with geospatial APIs and mapping platform integration
(Google Maps Platform or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications:

→ Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
→ Experience in application or systems development, IoT, smart cities, urban
mobility, AR/VR, or machine learning.
→ Background in cloud platform development and solution architecture for web and
mobile environments.
→ Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
