About the Role:
The Software Engineer will specialize in IBM Mainframe technologies, responsible for both development and L2/L3 production support tasks.
The role demands collaboration with software engineering and QA teams to manage source code, automate releases, and ensure stable operations within a 24×7 support environment.

Key Responsibilities:
📌 Understand business needs and apply logical, analytical thinking
📌 Conduct research and resolve problems related to mainframe software applications
📌 Adhere to department practices, standards, policies, and documentation requirements
📌 Develop and maintain IBM Mainframe components including DB2, IMS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, TSO/ISPF
📌 Engage in batch cycle monitoring, abend fixes, and on-call production support
📌 Collaborate within agile teams and participate in mainframe enhancement projects
📌 Be flexible to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

Requirements:
🎯 Minimum 0–8 years experience in mainframe development and production support
🎯 Hands-on experience with IBM File Manager, Debug Tools, CA7/11, and Endevor
🎯 Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
🎯 Knowledge of CICS, MQ Series, REXX catering as a plus
🎯 Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
🎯 Ability to work under pressure with flexible timing demands
