About the Role:
🧠 As an Entry-Level Data Scientist / AI Engineer at Rolls-Royce Data Labs, you will work with experienced engineers and data scientists to build and deploy AI models that solve real-world aerospace problems.You will contribute across the AI lifecycle: data preparation, model design, training, validation, and documentation, while staying current with new AI/ML technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• 🤖 Assist in designing, developing, and deploying AI models and algorithms to solve complex engineering problems.
• 🤝 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align AI solutions with business needs.
• 📊 Conduct data analysis and preprocessing (cleaning, feature engineering) to prepare datasets for training and evaluation.
• 🧪 Support testing and validation of AI models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and robustness.
• 📝 Document processes, methods, and results clearly to maintain effective communication within the team.
• 📚 Stay updated on latest AI/ML trends and advancements.

Requirements:

• 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 🐍 Familiarity with Python, Azure stack, and use of GenAI frameworks on the platform.
• 📚 Good understanding of ML concepts and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• 🧮 Experience with data manipulation/analysis using tools like Pandas, NumPy, or SQL.
• 💬 Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn new technologies, excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• 🧪 Internship or project experience in AI, language modelling, or data science; cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Matplotlib) are a plus.
