About the Role:
👨‍💻 Interns tackle real production projects that ship to customers, working with multiple systems/technologies under dedicated intern managers.Gain hands-on experience in systems design, testing, code reviews, and presentations while contributing to Stripe’s core roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 💻 Write production software with meaningful impact on Stripe’s customers and platform.
  • 🔍 Participate in code reviews and design discussions, giving/receiving technical feedback.
  • 🤝 Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to incorporate feedback effectively.
  • 🚀 Learn quickly through questions, clear communication, and close work with intern manager/teammates.

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:

  • 📚 Strong CS fundamentals via Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in CS, Math, or related discipline.
  • 🖥️ Programming experience from coursework/side projects (Stripe uses Java, Ruby, JS, Scala, Go).
  • 👥 Prior internships/multi-person projects (incl. open source) showing feedback handling skills.
  • 🔬 Ability to learn unfamiliar systems through research and mentor collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 🎓 2+ years university education or equivalent experience.
  • ⚙️ Specialized knowledge + general skills (e.g., frontend + service architecture understanding).
  • ✅ High-quality PRs with test coverage; navigating multi-language codebases; clear communication.
