💡About the Role:
As a Data Scientist at TRSS, you’ll work directly with Federal Law Enforcement customers to collect, integrate, resolve, analyze and model large-scale data.
The role combines data science, machine learning, programming and customer-facing problem solving. You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to internal R&D, shared technical capabilities and proof-of-concept projects. 🤖
This position is fully on-site at U.S. Government customer locations in the Washington, DC area and is not a telework position.
📌Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, integrate and resolve large datasets
- Perform statistical analysis, anomaly detection and pattern analysis
- Develop risk models, classification models, graph-based analysis and machine learning solutions
- Apply AI and ML techniques to complex investigative problems
- Create dashboards, visualizations and data stories for non-technical audiences
- Write, customize and execute Python code
- Use SQL for data extraction, exploration and data pipelines
- Translate customer requirements into clear project plans and technical approaches
- Deliver actionable analytical results within required timelines
- Work independently and collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and subject-matter experts
- Contribute to R&D, proof-of-concept projects and internal technical capabilities
🎯Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance or agency work suitability determination
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technical discipline
- Strong experience managing and analyzing large datasets
- Practical Python programming experience 🐍
- Strong SQL proficiency
- Experience with data modeling and machine learning/AI techniques
- Ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work with sensitive, confidential or regulated data
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in the Washington, DC area
🎓Experience Substitution:
- Master’s Degree in a related field may substitute for 2 years of experience
