As a Junior Data Engineer at Medpace, you’ll build the pipelines, databases, models, and BI solutions that turn complex data into useful information—while developing the skills to grow into a strong data professional.

💡About the Role:
This is an office-based opportunity within Medpace’s Information Technology team, designed for professionals beginning their career in data engineering and software development.

You’ll work with modern data platforms and development tools including Snowflake, SQL Server, dbt, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Power BI and Python while contributing to real business projects. 🚀

📌Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop solutions involving data warehousing, databases and business intelligence
  • Support ETL and ELT development using dbt, Azure Data Factory and SSIS
  • Design and enhance Microsoft Power BI business intelligence solutions
  • Collect, analyze and document user requirements
  • Participate in software validation, testing and release activities
  • Follow the software development lifecycle from requirements through maintenance
  • Collaborate with developers and project teams on tools, procedures and delivery
  • Provide end-user application setup, installation and maintenance support

🎯Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field
  • Internship experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering
  • Knowledge of dimensional data modeling
  • Understanding of Star Schema and Snowflake Schema concepts
  • Solid understanding of ETL development and business reporting
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Server databases
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
