Key Responsibilities:
- Career Counselling and Guidance:
- Provide personalized career counselling to students, guiding them in exploring
relevant career paths. - Assist students in aligning their academic pursuits with their career aspirations.
- Program Development and Implementation:
- Innovate and execute career development programs and workshops to equip students
with essential skills. - Collaborate with academic departments to integrate career readiness into the
curriculum.
- Industry Relations and Networking:
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with industry professionals and alumni to
facilitate networking opportunities. - Organize career-oriented events such as job fairs and industry talk to bridge the gap
between students and employers.
- Internship and Placement Coordination:
- Liaise with industries to secure internship and placement opportunities for students.
- Oversee the internship process to ensure students gain valuable hands-on experience.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of student engagements, placements, and feedback.
- Utilize data analysis to enhance career services and assess the effectiveness of
initiatives.
- Team Management and Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of career counsellors and administrative staff, fostering their
professional growth. - Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance team competencies
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate the value of career development services to faculty, parents, and
students. - Collaborate with academic departments to stay abreast of industry trends and
employability requirements
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Career Counselling, Human Resources, Business Administration, or
a related field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in career counselling, placement coordination, or a
similar role. - Profound understanding of the job market, industry demands, and higher education
dynamics. - Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency in career development software and data analysis tools.
