Role Overview:
As the Primary School Counsellor, you will provide professional and confidential
counselling services to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and cope
with various difficulties they may face.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality counselling services to students
- Offer flexible counselling sessions tailored to students’ needs
- Maintain up-to-date case notes and adhere to ethical guidelines
- Collaborate with school staff and outside agencies as needed
- Review counselling provision on a termly basis
Competencies:
- Demonstrated ability to relate to students with empathy and compassion
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Multicultural competency and respect for diversity
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize student safety
Qualification and Experience:
- Masters in Psychology and certification in school counselling
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in leading schools
- Track record of providing emotional support to children
