💡About the Role:
As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will design, build, execute and maintain automated testing solutions for distributed applications and connected-service workflows.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in C#/.NET, REST API automation, Selenium or Playwright, GraphQL, SQL and CI/CD, along with the ability to investigate complex failures and mentor other engineers.

You will work closely with development, verification, DevOps and product teams to improve release quality and maintain robust test coverage. 🚀

📌Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate product, system and software requirements into maintainable automated test scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain C# automation for REST APIs, web UIs, integration workflows and regression testing.
  • Build reusable test utilities, service clients, page objects, assertions and reporting components.
  • Validate JSON/XML payloads, authentication, authorization, database records and event-driven integrations.
  • Integrate smoke and regression suites into Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD pipelines.
  • Investigate automation failures using logs, API traces, network diagnostics, database queries and pipeline artifacts.
  • Maintain requirements-to-test traceability and formal verification evidence.
  • Review automation code and continuously improve test coverage.
  • Support root-cause analysis and defect management.
  • Mentor junior and less-experienced automation engineers. 👨‍💻
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, verification and product teams throughout the release lifecycle.

🎯Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
  • Strong hands-on C# and .NET programming skills.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, asynchronous programming, exception handling and debugging.
  • Proven REST API automation experience using .NET libraries and frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit or MSTest.
  • Hands-on UI automation using Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright.
  • Working knowledge of GraphQL (GQL), including queries, mutations, schemas and API validation.
  • Experience with HTTP methods/status codes, JSON/XML, SQL and test-data management.
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Experience with Git, code reviews, CI/CD and automated test reporting.
  • Knowledge of risk-based testing, requirements traceability and defect management.
  • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, E&C, Electrical or a related discipline.
