Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Staff Nurse to join our team at PVS Sunrise Hospital in
Calicut. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing specialized care for
premature and critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Your
responsibilities will include patient care, equipment operation, patient assessment, and
advocacy.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. Nursing degree
  • Experience in nursing preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized care for premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU.
  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assess overall health of neonates.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care
    plans.
  • Operate and monitor specialized equipment such as incubators, ventilators, and
    cardiac monitors.
  • Ensure proper functioning of equipment and intervene promptly in case of
    malfunctions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients on the ward.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide general nursing care.
  • Advocate for the needs and preferences of patients within the healthcare team.
  • Communicate with patients and their families, keeping them informed about the
    care plan.
