π― About the Role:
As a Data Transformation Analyst at S&P Global, you’ll be at the heart of the world’s most comprehensive US Energy database β sourcing, analyzing, and validating exploration and production well data across India and beyond.You’ll play a critical role in maintaining data accuracy and integrity that global energy companies rely on to make billion-dollar decisions. π’οΈπ‘
ποΈ Key Responsibilities:
- π Source, analyze, research, enter, and quality-control exploration & production well data and log data within the S&P Global US Energy Oracle database
- ποΈ Process, validate, and manage historical well information entries while supporting data improvement projects through global, country, basin, and area reviews
- π Support the data sourcing process related to exploration and production activity in your assigned region of responsibility
- β Ensure consistency, currency, and correctness of data captured from various sources while supporting the team in day-to-day activities to achieve set goals
β Requirements:
π Must-Haves:
- π Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or a related geoscience field
- π’οΈ Good understanding of petroleum geology and main drilling procedures
- π¬ Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- π€ Collaborative team player with a proactive, detail-oriented attitude
π οΈ Technical Skills:
- π» Good computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office Suite β especially MS Excel
- ποΈ Ability to convert technical geoscience information into structured database-ready formats
- π’οΈ Experience in the oil and gas industry is a strong advantage
- π Interest in managing and handling geo-technical data and information systems
